Meet employers, university staff and recent graduates to discover how chemistry connects to pharmaceuticals, forensics, environmental protection and more. Hear career stories, explore internship and placement opportunities, and make useful connections over free pizza and drinks.
The University of Plymouth’s RSC Chemistry Showcase is an in-person event designed to help school and college students explore where a chemistry degree can lead. It brings together students, university staff, employers and recent graduates to highlight career pathways in the chemical sciences and show how chemistry connects to sectors such as pharmaceuticals, medicine, forensics, environmental protection and materials science.
Attendees can expect industry insights from regional and national employers, information on internship and placement opportunities, and first-hand stories from people who have recently moved from university into their careers. The event is intended to help students think about higher education, future career options and the skills that employers look for.
There is also a strong networking element, giving students the chance to meet employers and speak to others in a relaxed setting. Free pizza and drinks are provided, making it a friendly and informal way to learn more about chemistry-related careers while building confidence and making useful connections.
2 December 2026, 13:00 – 17:00
