To qualify, applicants must be home students currently living in the UK, studying at a state-funded school or college, registered for an offer holder event or open day, and living more than 2 miles walking distance from the University of Roehampton. In addition, applicants must meet at least one of the university's further eligibility criteria, such as care experience, estrangement, being a young carer, having refugee or asylum status, being an adult learner over 21 starting a first degree, or meeting one of the other widening participation categories listed by the university.

Applicants are asked to check the criteria carefully and apply using the form provided on the page. Once the event has been attended, the bursary is paid directly into the applicant's bank account, provided all required details are submitted within one month of the event date.
