These are 20-minute university talks held as part of the University of Sheffield undergraduate Open Day programme. Presentations run throughout the day so visitors can attend sessions that fit their schedule.
In addition to talks, there are mic’d ambassador conversations where current students discuss studying and living in Sheffield; these conversations take place on the Students' Union concourse between 11:00 and 15:00. Topics include a general "Welcome to our university" presentation, Student life, University accommodation, Sport and physical activity, Funding your studies, Placement year and global opportunities, Applying to university (UCAS), and "Languages for all".
Many sessions are listed with specific times and locations (primarily Firth Hall and the Council Room, Firth Court) and the page provides Google Maps and Apple Maps links for directions to Firth Hall, Sheffield S10 2TN. A July-only session covers degrees with a foundation year and is aimed at learners aged 21+.
Times and locations for all talks can be searched and browsed on the Open Day page. No application or booking details are provided on this page - attendees should consult the University of Sheffield Open Day schedule online for the specific dates and to plan which talks to attend.
