Open Days at the University of South Wales give prospective undergraduate students the chance to explore campuses, speak with academic staff and current students, and experience facilities first-hand. Attendees can join talks and presentations, take campus and accommodation tours, meet student support services, and get a clearer sense of course content and student life to help choose the right degree.
Events take place across USW campuses in Cardiff, Newport and Pontypridd. Open Days usually begin with registration at around 09:30 and finish at approximately 15:00 (individual campus times are confirmed in your booking email).
You can bring parents, guardians or guests (you can update guest numbers after booking). To attend, book your place using the online booking form on the university website and you will receive a confirmation email with a QR code, travel information and a link to manage your booking.
USW offers support with travel costs including a Travel Bursary (see the Travel Bursary pages for eligibility and how to apply) and discounted rail travel via Great Western Railway using the promo code USWOPENDAY26 (valid within seven days of the event). If you are interested in postgraduate study, check the university's postgraduate open events rather than these undergraduate-focused Open Days.
