The University of Southampton Geospatial Summer School 2026 (hosted by Southampton Geospatial) is a five-day, on-campus programme running from 13 to 17 July 2026 at Highfield Campus, Southampton. The course titled “Advances in Geospatial Data Sciences” combines structured practical training with expert guest lectures to take participants from core principles through to advanced geospatial workflows.
Participants will engage with recent developments across remote sensing, machine learning, geospatial AI and ethics, geospatial data sources, open-source computing and UAV data collection and processing. The format includes interactive lectures and hands-on practical sessions designed to support an interdisciplinary approach to solving real-world geospatial problems.
The programme is presented via the University of Southampton (see university registration link). It is listed under the university’s schools and colleges summer schools and is therefore aimed at school/college students (Year 12-13 / sixth form).
Early bird registration (25% discount) is available for bookings made by 30 April 2026; standard price is £1,030.
