The University of Sussex Online Access Summer School is a free, four-day online programme for first-year sixth form and college students curious about university study and life. The 2026 programme runs from Tuesday 30 June to Friday 3 July and offers taster academic sessions across a wide range of subject areas.
Participants complete a practical academic project and receive guidance from Sussex academics, professional staff and Student Ambassadors. By completing the summer school, students gain a completed project to support future personal statements and the equivalent of 8 UCAS points redeemable when applying to University of Sussex courses (note: these points are not transferable to Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) courses).
The programme also includes tailored advice about university applications, personal statement support, and opportunities to connect with peers and ambassadors. Applications are via the online registration form and the deadline for 2026 is Monday 22 June 2026.
