University of Sussex US Politics A-Level Masterclass

A free one-day masterclass at the University of Sussex focused on US Politics, designed for A-level students who are considering studying Politics or International Relations at university. The event offers an opportunity to deepen understanding of core A-Level Politics content while exploring key themes in contemporary US politics.

Participants will hear from University of Sussex politics academics through three lectures covering topics such as Trump and populism, gun politics and the Second Amendment, and US foreign policy, NATO, and the war in Ukraine. The session is aimed at building subject knowledge and giving students direct access to university-level teaching.

Alongside the academic content, the event provides a campus experience at a leading Politics department and is intended to support students thinking about their next steps after school. It may also help strengthen UCAS applications through meaningful extra-curricular engagement.
