Join West Midlands Police as a Vehicle Technician Apprentice and earn while you learn in a hands-on workshop environment based at Nexus Point, Birmingham. You will work alongside qualified technicians to diagnose, repair and service police vehicles (including light commercial vehicles and specialist police equipment), complete job records using fleet management systems, and learn manufacturer-standard maintenance procedures.
The apprenticeship includes day-release college training with City of Wolverhampton College to achieve a Level 3 motor vehicle qualification. Working hours are 36. 5 hours per week (07:30-15:30, Monday-Friday).
The role is a fixed-term training contract (42 months) and offers the opportunity to apply for permanent roles on completion, where available.

- Successful applicants must pass Recruitment Vetting and Counter Terrorism Clearance (including full background and financial disclosure).
- Successful applicants will be subject to a medical assessment, which may include a drug or hearing test.

£24,675 per year
£24,675 initial training salary which will increase annually during training. 42 months fixed term contract with potential to be extended. A Level 3 Vehicle Technician apprenticeship.
