Curious about uni life and career choices? Join the University of Bristol Virtual Summer School - three days of academic talks, social sessions and expert guidance to explore subjects, build skills and boost your UCAS confidence.

The University of Bristol Virtual Summer School is an online three-day programme for Year 12 students, delivered via Zoom. The programme combines academic talks, social sessions and information, advice and guidance to support students making informed decisions about higher education.

Past subject streams have included biomedical and biological sciences, economics and finance, engineering, historical studies, law and social & political sciences, medicine and health sciences, modern language and culture, maths and physics, psychology and veterinary science.

Successful applicants are expected to attend all three days from 10:00 to 17:00 on 27

29 May 2026; regular screen breaks will be scheduled. Students who successfully complete the scheme may be eligible for a guaranteed contextual offer or a guaranteed interview for specified courses at Bristol (subject to meeting any course-specific requirements and admissions tests such as UCAT/LNAT).

The scheme is outreach-focused and intended to widen participation.

Eligibility is restricted to Home fee-status students who attend a non-fee-paying state school or college, are in the first year of A-Level study (or equivalent) and are in Year 12 (or equivalent) in the 2025-26 academic year (and under 18 during the summer school dates). If a stream is oversubscribed, priority is given to applicants who meet widening participation criteria (for example: eligibility for free school meals, IMD quintile 1, care-experienced, estranged, refugee status, disabled students, specific underrepresented ethnic groups, first-in-family, caring responsibilities, GTRSB communities, etc.
