Warrington & Vale Royal College WVR Theatre Academy

WVR Theatre Academy is a free, six-week performance programme run by Warrington & Vale Royal College for young people who want to build confidence and develop their skills in acting, dance and musical theatre. Participants work with industry-expert tutors in the college’s professional theatre and get the chance to experience what it is like to train in a real performing arts environment.

Across the programme, attendees take part in warm-ups, skills development, rehearsals and performance-focused sessions that build towards a final showcase. They also gain an exclusive behind-the-scenes insight into a college production, and one of the weeks includes having a professional headshot taken for a portfolio.

The academy is designed for Year 10 and Year 11 pupils with an interest in performance, and parents are asked to complete a consent/contact form before the programme begins.
