Webinar: Engineering the future - Choosing the right degree in the age of AI

This online webinar from the University of Birmingham Dubai explores how artificial intelligence is transforming engineering disciplines and what that means for choosing an undergraduate degree. Speakers from the School of Engineering will outline key differences and connections between mechanical, civil, electrical & electronic, computer, biomedical, and robotics/AI engineering, and discuss real-world applications across infrastructure, energy, healthcare and robotics.

Attendees will learn how AI is reshaping career opportunities, how to identify the degree pathway that best matches their interests and strengths, and the entry requirements and guidance for applying to undergraduate engineering programmes at Birmingham Dubai. The session includes presentations from academic experts followed by an opportunity to ask questions about studying engineering in Dubai.

The webinar is aimed primarily at Year 12 and Year 13 (or equivalent) students considering engineering degrees, but is also suitable for students interested in AI and emerging technologies, as well as parents, teachers and school counsellors supporting student decision-making.
