Want to qualify as a solicitor without uni? Join Weil’s six-year, salaried Solicitor Apprenticeship to earn while you learn, rotate through fee-earning teams, get protected study time and practical experience - build legal skills and kickstart your career. Apply by 18 Jan 2026.

Deadline in 19 days

Weil's Solicitor Apprenticeship Programme is a six-year, office-based route to qualify as a solicitor without going to university. Apprentices learn on the job within a leading global law firm, rotating through multiple fee-earning teams after an initial four-month placement in business services.

The programme combines practical legal work with formal study, protected study time and structured training so apprentices build legal skills while earning a salary.

After the fourth year apprentices take an eight-month period focused on SQE preparation. On completion of the SQE assessments and final placements, apprentices will hold a full LLB degree and the Level 7 Solicitors Apprenticeship qualification, qualifying at the same level as graduate trainees.

The firm provides regular mentoring, dedicated supervisors, a Professional Development Director, and access to skills trainers to support development throughout the programme.

The programme is based in Weil's London office and recruits nationally. Weil covers study fees, offers relocation support for non-London applicants and provides a A32,000 sign-on bonus. Starting salary is A333,000 (increasing each year).
