Curious what 'truth' really means? Explore changing ideas of truth, debate ethics and just war with Dr Peter Vardy; build critical-thinking, A-level/uni-ready skills and argue with confidence in a face-to-face sixth-form workshop.

What is Truth? is a bespoke, face-to-face Religious Education day for Sixth Form students led by Dr Peter Vardy. The programme combines engaging lectures with activities, discussions and debates tailored to General RE at sixth-form level.

Sessions cover: an introduction to changing ideas of truth through history and critical thinking tools; Truth and Ethics considering moral absolutes versus relativism; A Just War applying ethical ideas to modern warfare including questions about nuclear, chemical and autonomous weapons; and a session on Artificial Intelligence exploring practical and philosophical implications of AI and its societal risks.
