Get hands-on at Bedfordshire nature reserves, tackling practical conservation tasks that support local wildlife and habitat restoration. No specialist experience is needed: training and tools are provided, and you can join different groups running across the county.
Join one of the Wildlife Trust’s conservation work parties across Bedfordshire and help with practical tasks that support local wildlife and habitat restoration. These volunteer sessions are a hands-on way to spend time outdoors, keep active and contribute to building and maintaining a stronger nature recovery network across the county.
The work parties take place at nature reserves and other sites, with different groups running at different times of year. Some are informal reserve-based sessions, while others happen more regularly during the week.
They are designed to be accessible to volunteers without specialist experience, making them a good option for anyone who wants to get stuck in and help nature in their local area.
No previous skills are needed, as training and tools are provided. Volunteers should wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear, and bring food and drink for the session. It is important to contact the task leader of the work party you want to join before attending, as they can provide directions and any other practical details.
