Explore polecat biology, ecology and conservation with Dr Dan Forman, including how these rarely seen predators survived persecution and are returning across parts of Wales and the borders. The illustrated talk also covers local distribution, habitat, diet and diseases.

Join Dr Dan Forman for an illustrated talk about polecats, one of Britain’s most misunderstood mammals. Drawing on his background in biosciences, he explores the animal’s biology, ecology and conservation, with a particular focus on how polecats survived persecution and are now returning in parts of Wales and the borders.

The talk looks at polecat distribution in the local area, their habitat and diet, and the diseases that affect these rarely seen predators. It is a family-friendly in-person event for adults, beginners and experts alike, with refreshments available before the talk begins.

The venue is accessible, with toilets and wheelchair access, and parking is available nearby.
