Clear paths, tackle invasive species and help maintain wildlife sites through hands-on conservation work across the Valleys. Join practical outdoor sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, with tasks ranging from vegetation management to light construction.
Join the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales for practical volunteer days in the Valleys, helping to care for wildlife sites through hands-on conservation work. The sessions are designed for people who want to spend time outdoors, meet others with similar interests and contribute to nature recovery in their local area.
Volunteer days take place every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and you do not need to attend every week. Typical tasks include clearing paths, controlling invasive species, managing vegetation and carrying out infrastructure maintenance and light construction work.
The exact meeting point varies depending on the work being done, so volunteers are asked to get in touch to confirm attendance before coming along.
Sessions usually run from 10:00 to 15:00ish unless otherwise specified. Volunteers should wear sturdy footwear, bring suitable outdoor clothing and take their own refreshments. Because the work can involve physical activity and uneven ground, the role is best suited to people who are comfortable with outdoor practical tasks.
Sessions run weekly
Free to join as a volunteer.
