The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales Bridgend, Vale and Cardiff Volunteer Days

Volunteer with practical work parties on the nature reserves around Bridgend, the Vale and Cardiff. This opportunity is focused on hands-on conservation and land management, helping to maintain and improve wildlife habitats across the Trust’s reserves.

Tasks vary through the seasons and may include surveys, path clearance, fence work, boardwalk creation and maintenance, access work, woodland glade management, meadow management, invasive species management, coppicing, hedge laying, habitat creation and reedbed management. Volunteers can get involved in a wide range of practical outdoor activities that support the long-term care of the reserves.

The group runs weekly, and anyone interested in taking part is invited to contact Tim by email to register their interest. It is a practical volunteering role for people who enjoy outdoor work and want to support nature conservation in their local area.
