Apply NowGet a week inside an F1 team: Williams Racing's work experience shows Years 10-13 what engineering, testing and race-day roles actually involve. Learn hands-on, see career routes and find out how apprenticeships and placements fit into an F1 pathway.
Williams Racing offers a targeted work experience week aimed at school students to provide a practical view of how a Formula 1 team operates. The placement is designed to help Years 10-13 understand the variety of roles across design, testing, production and race operations, and to highlight routes into motorsport careers (including apprenticeships and university).
Activities typically introduce engineering tasks such as CAD-based design, testing approaches, track-related operations and post-race debriefing processes, giving insight into day-to-day duties and career pathways. The programme is open to non-UK residents, but participants are required to fund their own travel and accommodation.
Williams Racing notes that work experience is for Year 10-13 students only and university students are not eligible. Related opportunities mentioned on the careers site include Level 3 apprenticeships (limited places) and occasional summer placements for university students which are posted separately on the official careers pages.
