Help manage one of Worcestershire’s largest remaining areas of semi-natural grassland through scrub clearing and hands-on conservation. Join a county-wide team caring for wildlife habitats, with training provided where needed; you’ll help keep the meadows in good condition for wildflowers and other species.

Volunteers at Penorchard Meadows help Worcestershire Wildlife Trust manage one of the county’s largest remaining areas of semi-natural grassland. The role is part of practical conservation work on a nature reserve, supporting the long-term care of important wildlife habitats and helping to keep the site in good condition for wildflowers and other species.

Typical tasks include scrub clearing and other hands-on conservation activities to prevent encroachment and maintain the meadows. Volunteers are part of a wider county-wide team working on nature reserves, so the role suits people who enjoy being outdoors, working with others, and doing varied practical tasks.

Training is provided where needed, and the opportunity is described as suitable for people with a basic level of fitness.
