Take on scrub control, hedge management, plant conservation, weed removal and fencing across northern Worcestershire nature reserves. Learn reserve management outdoors, with basic tool-use training provided; sessions run 10am-3pm on the second Wednesday each month.
This volunteering role supports practical conservation work on nature reserves in the north of Worcestershire. Volunteers help look after sites including Bewdley Meadows, Bishops Field, The Betts Reserve, Knowles Coppice, Blackstone Farm Fields and Dropping Well Farm, helping to maintain the special features of these reserves for the future.
The work is hands-on and outdoors, with tasks such as scrub control, hedge management, plant conservation, weed removal and fencing. It is a good opportunity for anyone who enjoys nature conservation, wants to learn more about reserve management, and likes being active in the countryside.
Sessions run on the second Wednesday of each month from 10am until 3pm. The role is suitable for everyone and training is provided for basic tool use. Volunteers should be willing to work in all weathers and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Second Wednesday of each month
