Pollard willows, maintain paths and tackle hands-on habitat management at a reserve with open water, scrub and carr woodland. Your work supports wildlife including birds, dragonflies and over 160 plant species.

Worcestershire Wildlife Trust is looking for volunteers to help manage Broadway Gravel Pit, a small nature reserve on the edge of Broadway. This practical conservation role supports the upkeep of the site and helps protect its special features for the future.

Volunteers take part in hands-on habitat management tasks such as willow pollarding, path maintenance and general conservation work. The reserve includes open water, scrub and carr woodland, and is home to birds, dragonflies and over 160 species of plant.

The role suits people who enjoy working outdoors, want to learn more about wildlife conservation and are happy to get involved in a range of practical tasks.

The volunteering group meets on the first Monday of every month from 10am to 1pm. It is suitable for people with a basic level of fitness, and training will be provided where needed. The opportunity is designed to be inclusive and welcomes people from all backgrounds and abilities.
