Help restore wetlands to grazing marshes at a major reserve, then get hands-on with wildlife monitoring, scrub management, fencing and tree planting. Training is provided; your work supports habitats for local wildlife and wintering birds.
This volunteering role supports practical conservation work at Hill Court Farm & The Blacklands, Worcestershire Wildlife Trust’s largest reserve. Volunteers help restore wetlands to grazing marshes and maintain the site’s special features for the future, supporting habitats for local wildlife and wintering birds.
Tasks can include wildlife monitoring, scrub management, fencing and tree planting. The role is suitable for everyone and is ideal for people who enjoy being outdoors, learning about conservation management and contributing to hands-on reserve work.
Volunteers should be happy to work in all weathers, work independently or as part of a team, and be willing to take on a range of tasks as directed. Training is provided, and the Trust highlights the wider benefits of volunteering for health, wellbeing and fitness.
Last Saturday of each month, 10.30am-3pm
Unpaid volunteering opportunity.
