Plant trees, repair fences, harvest seed and mow at a mixed orchard and meadow reserve, helping care for its wildlife. Work outdoors as part of a team, with training in basic tool use.
Practical conservation volunteers at Hollybed Farm Meadows help care for a mixed orchard and meadow reserve, supporting Worcestershire Wildlife Trust’s management of a valuable local wildlife site. The role is hands-on and outdoors, giving volunteers the chance to contribute directly to conservation work on the reserve.
Typical tasks include tree planting, fencing, seed harvesting and mowing, all of which help improve the variety and quantity of wildflowers and maintain the site’s special features for the future. It is a practical role for people who enjoy nature, being active outdoors and working as part of a team.
Sessions take place on the first Sunday of each month between September and March, with each volunteer day running from 10am to 3pm. The opportunity is suitable for everyone, and training is provided for basic tool use.
