Help care for a woodland and orchard reserve near Pershore through coppicing, scrub clearance, path maintenance and wildlife monitoring. You’ll learn practical reserve management alongside a friendly volunteer team, with training provided and no previous experience needed.

Practical Conservation at Tiddesley Wood is a volunteer opportunity with Worcestershire Wildlife Trust for people who want to help care for a woodland and orchard reserve near Pershore. Volunteers support the reserve team with hands-on conservation work that helps protect the site’s special features for the future.

Typical tasks include coppicing, scrub clearance, maintaining paths and taking part in monitoring work. The role is aimed at people who enjoy working outdoors, are happy to get stuck in with practical tasks, and want to learn more about how wildlife reserves are managed.

Training is provided, so previous experience is not essential.

Sessions run on the last Wednesday of each month from 10am to 1pm. It is a good option for anyone who wants to spend time outdoors, contribute to local wildlife conservation and gain experience of practical reserve management as part of a friendly volunteer team.
