York St John University's Open Day on Tuesday 30 June 2026 is a one-day on-campus event for prospective undergraduate students and their guests. Visitors sign in from 08:45 and can attend Welcome Talks (first at 09:15), subject talks and drop-in sessions across campus, guided campus tours led by student ambassadors, and accommodation viewings.
Subject talks cover course structure, entry requirements, placements and assessment and must be booked in advance as room capacities are limited. The Open Day includes a programme of campus and accommodation tours (guided and independent), dedicated sessions for sport courses at the Sports Park with free shuttle service, and a range of student support and funding drop-ins.
There are timed talks on admissions, accommodation and support services throughout the day, and some sessions are livestreamed to additional venues to increase capacity. Accessible routes, hearing loops, BSL interpretation (with advance notice) and other adjustments are available; organisers provide advice for groups and visitors with additional needs.
Practical information is provided for visitors: sign-in is at the Arts Foyer (Lord Mayor's Walk entrance), information helpdesks operate from 08:45, food and refreshments are available (free tea/coffee and paid outlets), and there is very limited on-campus parking (blue badge permit holders only). The event is intended to help applicants explore campus life, courses and support services ahead of applying or accepting offers.
