Undergraduate applicants can get admissions-team feedback on their personal statements, then explore campus, meet academics at drop-ins and hear from support teams. The visit finishes with a walking tour to York’s Christmas markets.
York St John University’s Winter Open Day is a relaxed campus visit for prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students. It offers a chance to explore the university, get a feel for student life, and find out more about the range of courses available.
Visitors can tour the campus, hear from key support teams, and speak with academics at information drop-ins throughout the day.
The event is designed to help students plan their next steps in a low-pressure setting. There will be a personal statement drop-in for undergraduate applicants, where the admissions team can give feedback and guidance ahead of the UCAS process.
A quieter early arrival period is also available for anyone who would prefer a gentler start, with refreshments, crafts and early access to staff.
As this is a smaller Open Day, there are no specific subject talks. Instead, the focus is on general advice, conversations with staff, and discovering what York St John has to offer. The day also includes a walking tour to York’s Christmas markets, adding a seasonal finish to the visit.
