County Sports is the Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs’ annual sports competition day, sponsored this year by NUVO. It brings together young farmers for team competition across a range of sports, with separate categories for different age bands so that members can take part in an appropriate event.
The competition includes badminton doubles, mixed junior rounders, ladies netball and men’s 5-a-side football. The top three teams in each qualifying event go forward to represent Yorkshire at the Northern Area Weekend, giving successful teams the chance to progress to the next stage of the competition.
Players are expected to wear team colours and bring their own protective equipment, such as shin pads and suitable boots.
