The Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs Public Speaking Competition is a county competition designed to help young people grow in confidence and build transferable communication skills. It brings together a range of speaking and interview-based contests for individuals and teams, including reading, public speaking, Just a Minute and After Dinner Speaking, with different age categories across the event.
Participants compete through their Club or District and the top teams can progress to represent Yorkshire at the Northern Area Weekend. The competition is aimed at Young Farmers members and is organised around formal entry forms, membership checks and parental consent for younger competitors.
It is a strong opportunity for members who want to develop presenting, teamwork and quick-thinking skills in a supportive competitive setting.
