Help deliver wildlife and education events at Stirley, supporting sessions where young people explore how plants grow, sustainability, healthy eating and the natural world. You’ll also help visitors connect with the countryside through family and adult activities, including seasonal events during holidays and weekends.
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is looking for Events & Engagement Volunteers at Stirley to help inspire visitors and build a stronger connection with nature. The role supports the delivery of regular events across the site, including education sessions and activities that encourage people to learn more about wildlife and the environment.
Volunteers help with both the preparation for and delivery of sessions run by the Stirley Education Team. These visits support young people in learning how plants grow and exploring ideas around sustainability, healthy eating and the natural world.
The Trust also hopes to expand its family and adult events, creating more opportunities for people to explore the site during school holidays and at weekends.
The opportunity suits people who enjoy working with others, supporting events and helping visitors get the most from a countryside setting. Seasonal activities may include Christmas, Halloween and half-term family events, so volunteers contribute throughout the year as part of a wider education and engagement programme.
Unpaid volunteering role.
Free to volunteer.
