At Spurn National Nature Reserve, get stuck into outdoor habitat management and maintenance, making a direct difference to wildlife and habitats. Tools and gloves are provided for the work.
Join Yorkshire Wildlife Trust for practical conservation volunteering at Spurn National Nature Reserve, helping with habitat management and maintenance tasks on one of the Trust’s most distinctive coastal sites. The role is designed for people who want to get stuck into outdoor conservation work and make a direct difference to wildlife and habitats.
Task days take place every Wednesday and are usually six hours long, starting at 10am and running until around 4pm. The work is based at Spurn Reserve in East Riding of Yorkshire and takes place outdoors, so volunteers should come prepared for changing weather conditions and uneven terrain.
Volunteers are asked to bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink, along with hard-wearing shoes, boots or wellies, old clothes, waterproofs, sunscreen and insect repellent when needed. Tools and gloves are provided.
New volunteers must also provide emergency contact details and relevant medical details before beginning.
Sessions run weekly on Wednesdays
Free to take part.
