The Young Computer Scientist Summer Experience

InvestIN's Young Computer Scientist Summer Experience is an immersive summer school and work-experience programme based in London and delivered from UCL and the University of London campus. Designed for students aged 15-18 (Years 10-12), the course blends hands-on coding, UI/UX, robotics and back-end engineering with professional site visits, masterclasses and career coaching.

Across the programme students take part in activities such as a 2-day Game Jam, robot programming using Scratch or Python, UI/UX workshops using Figma, 3D modelling with Blender and visits to motion-capture and industry sites. The 1-week, 2-week and 2-week Premium options offer increasing contact hours and experiences; the Premium package includes extra professional time, a gala dinner and an included assessment for the Level 3 Award.

All participants complete a post-programme online assessment to receive a personalised digital certificate; 2-week attendees additionally receive a physical certificate and an industry reference letter. Residential and non-residential options are available, with on-site safeguarding, meals and optional airport transfers for international students.
