The Young International Politics Summer Experience

The Young International Politics Summer Experience is an immersive on-campus programme based at University College London and the surrounding University of London campus for students aged 15

This multi-day summer experience combines interactive workshops, diplomacy simulations and Model United Nations sessions led by diplomats and political experts. Participants take part in high-stakes negotiation simulations, election-campaign exercises, media production workshops at Sky Up Academy studios, and visits to the Houses of Parliament, gaining practical skills in persuasion, policy analysis and crisis response.

Students receive career coaching, guidance on university applications, and networking opportunities with professionals from the Foreign Office, United Nations and leading NGOs. Work is assessed so participants can earn a Level 3 Award in Work Experience and Career Planning (worth 8 UCAS points); graduates receive a personalised certificate and an industry reference letter.

Options include one-week taster, two-week standard, or two-week premium programmes, with residential accommodation and extra professional sessions available for premium attendees.
