This is a five-week introductory online course designed specifically for young people who want to learn more about mental health. Through short videos, personal stories, quizzes and brief assignments you will learn to recognise common psychological problems such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders and ADHD, and explore personal, environmental and genetic factors that can contribute to these conditions.
The course is created and taught by experts from the University Medical Center Groningen, University of Groningen and the University of Cambridge. It focuses on practical steps for prevention and self-management and aims to equip learners with tools to protect and boost their mental wellbeing.
Estimated study time is about 2 hours per week and a digital certificate is available when eligibility criteria are met. You can start immediately in a global classroom. The course is introductory and suitable for people aged over 14, as well as parents, caregivers, teachers and medical professionals seeking an accessible overview of youth mental health.
