The Young Psychologist Summer Experience is an immersive summer school based at University College London and the surrounding University of London campus for curious students aged 15-18.
Guided by practising psychologists and mental-health experts, participants explore clinical, forensic, sports, occupational and developmental psychology through interactive workshops, simulated clinics, courtroom and ward simulations, site visits (including a Premier League stadium and PsychTech firms), and practical assessments. The programme develops empathy, active listening, psychometric assessment and analytical skills, and includes networking sessions with senior professionals.
Students can choose a one-week taster, a two-week full programme or a two-week premium option with extra professional hours. Residential students stay in UCL-linked halls (single en-suite rooms, meals and activities provided).
The course includes career coaching, UCAS guidance, assessed work for a Level 3 Award (8 UCAS points), and a graduation certificate and reference.
