Your Heart Hospital: Cardiology Insight Day

Your Heart Hospital is a one-day insight programme for sixth form students who are interested in medicine, particularly cardiology. It is designed to give participants a clearer understanding of what a career in medicine can involve, while showing how NHS professionals work together in a specialist hospital setting.

Students meet leading clinicians and hear about their roles, career journeys and day-to-day work. The programme also includes lectures in the morning and practical skills sessions in the afternoon, giving pupils a chance to learn more actively about the realities of working in healthcare.

The programme is intended to inspire students who are considering medicine and to help them explore whether this pathway is right for them. It also offers a useful opportunity to hear directly from staff about the range of jobs available across the hospital.
