Tackle expanding and factorising in a free, in-person GCSE maths session, moving from basics to exam-style questions. Work through algebra step by step, take home a workbook, then get a marked check with guidance on what to practise next.
This free in-person GCSE maths session focuses on expanding and factorising, taking students from the basics through to exam-style questions. It is aimed at Years 9 to 11 and is designed to help young people build confidence with algebra, especially if they find brackets, signs or quadratics tricky.
The session includes step-by-step teaching, a workbook to take home, worked GCSE questions, and a short check at the end that is marked and sent back with guidance on what to work on next. It is suitable for both Foundation and Higher students, with extension questions for those aiming for grades 7 to 9.
Drinks, cake, pens and paper are provided, and there is also a short talk for parents on how to support learning at home.
