YouSpeak is a welcoming public speaking community for students who want to build confidence and strengthen their speaking skills in a supportive environment. The session is designed for people who are completely new to public speaking as well as those who want more opportunities to practise and improve at their own pace.

Participants can expect a mix of engaging activities, including fun icebreakers and group tasks that help them get to know other students and form meaningful friendships. The session also creates space to practise speaking in a way that feels comfortable, while developing a valuable skill that can support future study, work, and wider communication.

As the programme progresses, students can unlock and refine different public speaking elements, leading into a competition where they present a speech on a topic they care about in front of a supportive audience and a panel of judges. Alongside the speaking practice, attendees can connect with people from different backgrounds, expand their network, and access Room Too's study spaces.
