Youth Rangers of the Fens is a free, in-person session for secondary-aged young people (ages 11-17) run by Wildlife Trust BCN. Participants will learn practical conservation skills at Ramsey Abbey Walled Kitchen Garden, helping with gardening tasks and surveying for wildlife while discovering the site's history.
Sessions meet at various Cambridgeshire nature reserves and are designed to give young people hands-on experience of habitat management and wildlife monitoring. The Ramsey Walled Garden activities include planting/care tasks and species survey work; refreshments (hot drink and biscuits) are provided.
Bookings are not confirmed until completed paperwork and a consent form (for each child) have been received. These sessions are intended for independent attendance; the organisers cannot provide 1:1 support.
Note there are no toilet facilities at this location and a photographer may be present; under-18s will require a media consent form.
