The UK Youth Rocketry Challenge (UKROC) is a national STEM competition organised by ADS Group for young people aged 11 to 18. Teams from secondary schools, colleges and youth groups design, build and launch model rockets carrying a fragile payload (typically an egg).
Regional events are held across the UK, leading to a UK national final and the opportunity for the winning team to compete at an international final such as the Farnborough International Airshow. UKROC aims to engage students with hands-on engineering, science and mathematics through practical design and presentation tasks.
The competition promotes creativity, innovation and transferable skills that support careers in aerospace, defence, security and space. Sponsors and industry partners support participation and help expand access to this practical STEM experience.
