Yiddish Summer School
Apply NowFancy learning Yiddish, jamming klezmer and making festival friends in London this August? Join ZumerFest UK (17–21 Aug) to build language skills, play, sing and dance, and connect with creatives through workshops, film and literature.
ZumerFest UK is a five-day Summer Yiddish Festival in London (17-21 August 2026) offering language classes, klezmer music and dance workshops, Yiddish song, film screenings, literature talks, puppetry and more. Mornings focus on language and youth classes (three language levels and a Klezmer Youth programme for under-18s), with instrumental music, singing and cultural sessions in the afternoons and selected evening events.
Participants can mix and match sessions across the programme; Friday finishes earlier (by 3pm). The festival features a faculty of language leaders and renowned klezmer musicians and tutors. There is an evening programme including a faculty concert and Grand Ball (public, ticketed with participant discounts), film nights, and participant-only jams and cabarets.
Sessions are largely participant-led and designed to welcome a broad range of ages and abilities. The programme takes place in London N2 (near East Finchley underground station). Booking is via the festival booking link; the organisers request donations/supporter rates to help cover costs.
