Help care for Harbottle Park through practical woodland maintenance and conservation, working outdoors with a team. Cut back growth, keep visitor paths clear and tackle general park care; tools and PPE are provided, and no experience is needed.

Join Northumberland Wildlife Trust for a practical volunteering session in Harbottle Park, where young people can help support woodland maintenance and conservation work. The session is designed for anyone who wants to make a positive difference in a local green space while spending time outdoors with like-minded people.

Volunteers will meet at the play area at Harbottle Park and take part in hands-on tasks that contribute to the upkeep of the park.

The work may include cutting back growth, keeping paths clear for visitors, and helping with general park care. Tools and PPE will be provided, and no previous experience is needed. This is an in-person afternoon session focused on teamwork, wellbeing and community action, with a chance to learn more about practical conservation in a supportive setting.

Participants are encouraged to bring snacks and water, and to dress appropriately for uneven ground and outdoor work.
