Armagh Observatory and Planetarium

Support practical day-to-day work at a planetarium or observatory, including special events, projects and improving the visitor experience. Get hands-on maintaining the grounds or observing the Phenology Garden.

Record temperatures, operate a sunshine tower and measure rainfall through hands-on volunteering, helping build a long-running scientific record.

Use specialised software on short research projects and see what scientists do day to day during this four-day placement. You could also use telescopes overseas, visit the Planetarium, and spend time with the Education Team and PhD students.
