European Diplomats offers remote, Europe-facing policy research internships combining policy and market research with liaison, outreach and stakeholder engagement. Interns contribute to research, policy monitoring, client support, event assistance, communication and project development while gaining exposure to government relations and commercial diplomacy.

These positions are unpaid and are intended to form part of a recognised education course, university programme or approved training pathway where required by the applicant's country or institution. Work is remote and hands-on: interns are expected to produce usable outputs, manage their own tasks and communicate professionally with stakeholders.

There are two current Policy Researcher roles (Sales and Business Development; Digital Marketing and Social Media). Candidates should demonstrate relevant skills and interests and be prepared to provide evidence of being enrolled on an approved course or training pathway if required.

The Green Economics Institute and Green Economics Organisation offers a flexible summer internship programme for people interested in sustainability, environmental action, social justice, and the work of a charitable organisation. Interns become part of the summer events cycle, helping with ongoing activity, longer-term projects, and the day-to-day running of the organisation behind the scenes. The programme is tailored to each intern’s skills and interests. A Learning Lab’s AI & Computer Science Virtual Internship is a beginner-friendly programme for students who want to build practical coding and AI skills in a guided, project-based setting. Participants learn Python from scratch, explore machine learning and AI tools, and develop a portfolio project that demonstrates what they can create with technology. Across the programme, students work through real-world tasks such as writing code, training simple AI models, and practising problem-solving, algorithms, and computational thinking. The sessions are live and interactive, with mentoring, guest input from industry professionals, and case studies that show how AI is used in practice. The programme is designed to be accessible even for those with no prior coding experience. The experience also includes access to recordings, a certificate on completion, and a clear pathway into thinking about future study and careers in AI and computer science. It is positioned as a supportive, hands-on introduction to technology for young people who want to explore the field in a structured and engaging way.

Tutopiya’s Student Internship Programme is a remote, school-friendly internship-style learning programme for students aged 14-18. Over three months, participants join a real team inside Tutopiya and work on live projects with a named mentor, building practical experience rather than just observing from the sidelines. Students can choose from six tracks: marketing and social media, content and academic resources, software engineering, product and UX research, data and analytics, or AI and EdTech innovation. The work is designed to be shaped around the student’s age, availability, and school timetable, and the company says the programme is open to students with no prior experience. By the end of the programme, participants finish with a portfolio piece, a certificate of completion, and a reference letter describing what they actually did. The programme is presented as a structured learning experience rather than paid employment, with monthly payments and support from a mentor throughout.

Youth Protection Academy is a paid security internship for students aged 14-17. It is designed for high-schoolers who want an early start in the security field and combines mentorship, safety training, and a clear pathway toward licensed officer work at age 18. Participants learn practical skills such as situational awareness, de-escalation, professional communication, report writing, CPR/first-aid fundamentals, and emergency-response basics. The Department for Education Supported Internships are designed to help people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) prepare for the world of work. The programme is a structured study programme based at an employer and is intended to build experience, confidence, and practical workplace skills.

The internships are normally unpaid and last for a minimum of six months. They are supported through partners associated with Health Education England, with candidates sourced through that network, and they sit within the wider supported internship offer available to post-16 ESFA-funded education providers.

Where possible, the programme aims to support young people into paid employment at the end of the placement. The pathway is active and offers cross-government roles.

This Medical Internship in Cambodia is a supervised, observational placement for teenagers run by Projects Abroad. A High School Special aimed at 14 64 year-olds, the programme runs on fixed dates during school holidays with options of two, three or four weeks. Participants rotate through departments at a major hospital in Phnom Penh, attend medical lectures and workshops, and take part in supervised medical outreach activities in underserved communities. During the placement you will shadow doctors on rounds, attend lectures with local medical students, and join workshops to learn basic clinical skills such as taking blood pressure, suturing practice and measuring vital signs. The project records Clinical Shadowing Hours (30) and Volunteer Service Hours (15). Outreach duties are observational and supervised and can include checking temperatures, assisting with weight checks, taking blood pressure readings and helping distribute medicine. Daily reflection sessions and support from a dedicated Projects Abroad medical supervisor (Dr. Hour Samrithsela) help consolidate learning. Logistics are organised by Projects Abroad: accommodation with same-age roommates where possible, three meals daily, airport pick-up and drop-off, transport to placements, visa support and 24-hour in-country staff backup are included. Flights, travel and medical insurance, and visa costs (where applicable) are not included. The placement concludes with a certificate of project completion and access to alumni services.

Hull College's Supported Internship is a classroom- and work-placement-based programme designed to build the confidence, knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in the workplace. Learning takes place in small, supportive classes and focuses on employability skills such as communication, teamwork, time management, problem-solving and following workplace routines, alongside personal development and independent living topics including managing money, travel training and health and wellbeing. Tutors and learning support assistants provide individualised support tailored to learners' communication, cognitive and social needs. Work placement is a key part of the programme: learners complete a minimum of 126 hours of placement across the academic year, supported by the college’s work placement team. Placements are matched to interests and abilities with opportunities across sectors including hospitality, retail, business, childcare, art and design, IT, sport and customer service. Throughout placements, learners receive ongoing support from a Job Coach and participate in regular reviews with employers and college staff to monitor progress. Assessment emphasises practical achievement, personal growth and employability skills with evidence gathered in a portfolio rather than formal exams. On completion, learners will have a Level 1 vocational employability qualification and be well prepared to progress into supported employment, paid work, apprenticeships or traineeships. Hull College offers wraparound support including an individual learning plan, one-to-one mentoring and access to specialist SEND services.

Lite Regal Educationb9s Law Internship and Shadowing Program places students in face-to-face placements with partner law firms and chambers in central London. The programme runs for 1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks and places interns in real legal environments where they shadow qualified lawyers and contribute to case preparation, paperwork, admin, client meetings and court attendance where appropriate. Internships run Monday to Friday (typically 9:00ndash;17:00) with over 25 hours of placement activity per week. Residential students are housed in single en-suite rooms at University of London accommodation (commonly UCL Garden Halls or Goodenough College) in Bloomsbury; accommodation is included in the programme fee but meals and local transport are not. This Projects Abroad High School Special places teenagers on a Medicine & Public Health internship based in Guadalajara, Mexico. Participants live with host families and work alongside experienced local healthcare professionals to learn basic medical skills and public health practice. The project is aimed at high school students aged 15-18 and requires a minimum two-week stay.

On placement you will support nursing staff during community outreaches, conduct basic health checks and immunisation drives, and help run educational health campaigns in schools, care centres and community groups. This High School Special Public Health internship in Cambodia is a supervised, in-person programme for teenagers run by Projects Abroad. Participants are based in Phnom Penh and work in disadvantaged communities alongside other high school students, with full on-site supervision and 24-hour local staff support. The programme is designed for teenagers looking to gain practical healthcare experience during school holidays.

On placement you will assist medical staff with basic health checks (for example measuring blood pressure and temperature), take part in community outreaches, and help deliver public health awareness campaigns in schools and local communities. You will visit kindergartens, primary schools and care centres, attend supervised hospital visits to learn about the local healthcare system and traditional Khmer medicine, and can expect between 35 and 60 volunteer service hours depending on your chosen dates and duration. Visa support and advice are offered, but flights, visa fees (where applicable) and travel/medical insurance are not included. The placement is staffed 24/7 by local supervisors and is safety audited and risk assessed to BS8848 standards.

No prior experience is required and the project is designed to help teenagers decide if a medical career is right for them. On completion you receive a certificate of project completion and access to alumni services and resources.
