The Immerse Education Medicine Online Research Programme is a year-round, online pre-university course for high-school students designed to introduce participants to medical principles and supervised research. Students receive subject-specialist tuition (1:1 or group formats), complete a personalised research project, and gain skills in academic writing, referencing, and evidence-based reasoning. Top students may present at the Immerse Online Symposium and publication-track participants receive coaching aimed at submitting to a recognised high-school research journal. Programme formats vary by intensity and accreditation: Classic ORP (10 hours, 2 weeks), Publication Research Programme (15 hours plus 4 coaching sessions, publication support), and accredited UK/USA options (15 hours). Completing an accredited online research programme can yield 8 UCAS points or 3 college credits; all participants receive a Certificate of Achievement. Teaching is delivered by academic tutors (often Oxbridge or top international universities), with personalised evaluation and the option for a letter of recommendation for outstanding students. The course is delivered entirely online and is available globally year-round. It aims to prepare students for further medical or healthcare studies, support university applications, and develop transferable skills such as critical thinking, communication, and independent investigation.
